Sedentary behaviour has detrimental effects on health and well-being, not only for those who are physically inactive, but for those who are active too. Sitting for prolonged periods of time, even if you are active at other times during the day, has been shown to negatively affect health. So while you are watching your favourite TV show, the #TorontoRaptors, or just sitting reading a good book, get up on your feet after an hour of being seated, and move around.
