See, this is the key to turning the tide of illiteracy, low academic performance, high violence rates, and overall absence of African American males from higher education. Parents must take an aggressive effort to ensure that their children have the ability to compete by providing them with the requisite intellectual and social skills to succeed. BET cannot be the preeminent educator of our kids!! There is a reason that African American children are one of the lowest academic performers and one of the least of all minority groups to persist and graduate from college.. Parents if our kids dont graduate from high school its our fault!
