Seems my message over the last couple of years has been unclear. Had an interesting chat at the cash and carry today, with another local businessman. He didn’t realise we do food or welcome locals. So just for the sake of clarity we serve simple bar supper style meals, most main courses are under a tenner, we absolutely welcome locals, in fact anyone, no need to book either. We source as much of our produce locally as far as makes sense, we only use 3 suppliers from outwith Oban, and there isn’t a local competitor in 2 of these cases anyway. So by using Kings Knoll you will actually help benefit the local economy, not just the hotel. We stock a fairly traditional range of drinks in our bar, and due to our main customer base not wanting Alco pops we don’t stock them, however we have a wide range of west coast whiskies, naturally Oban, and three from Mull, we also carry some Oban Bay beers. We also do pre Christmas office parties We can cater and quote for family get togethers , usually up to about 36 people due to space.
