Self deception is a false hope that is not based on genuine experience of meeting the required conditions for reward. What makes us qualified for sonship with God is the accepted sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for the remission of the sins of the world. It is a work of Grace yet it must not be mistaken for a costless gain, we work it out with trembling and fear because to do right is one thing and for it to be accepted by God is another. We therefore cannot toy with sin. In fact we flee from the appearance of it, before it shapes up, that is what it means to be livivg in the dispensation of Grace. We turn the searchlight inward, examine and cross examine our hearts to find any spec and deal decisively with it before it becomes satans arrow head to ferret Gods glory an power from our lives. Grace Grace Gods Grace the love of GOD when we dont deserve it what a MYSTERY!
