Senate convenes at 12:00pm to resume consideration of the new Federal budget bill. If you dont want your tax dollars used to bail out banks the next time their irresponsible investments fall thru, contact your senator immediately. It will probably fall on deaf ears as its too late, but its better than nothing. The sixth sense that most of us have that government is corrupt is not unfounded. Companies gain political power and the ability to rig capitalism in their favor by what they bring to the table for representatives in terms of campaign funding, post service jobs, etc. In this case, Citigroup has, very covertly, essentially held the nations ability to function hostage by tying bailout procedures to a bill that has to pass in order to avoid a government shutdown.
