Senior Airman Brian Kolfage 34 mins · Chair of the House Oversight Committee, Darrell Issa, is being strongly urged to drop a subpoena issued to David Simas, White House advisor tied to the administrations political affairs office. Issas investigation concerns possible violations of the Hatch Act and questions as to whether the administration is using tax payer dollars for political purposes. Neil Eggleston, White House council, informed Issa that Simas is immune from appearing and this subpoena would threaten the longstanding interests of the Executive Branch in preserving the presidents independence and autonomy.
