Senior Team Leader Country: Angola Job category: Technical/Engineering Location: Luanda Position type: Contract Experience required: 5 - 7 Years Education required: High School Diploma Corporate overview Responsibilities and tasks Objectives Participate and assist offshore supervisor in all activities on board the platform, Rig or ship, ensuring they are conducted safely. Responsible for verifying reports in order to provide correct and safe guidance of workers. Responsibilities/Activities Operations •Ensure that the work undertaken at Aker Solutions Angola is conducted according to the appropriate procedures and industry best practices. •Proactively assist in the further development of offshore XT technicians and team leaders. •Complete training and competency log’s in line with the ASA training and competency procedures. •Assist in the completion of offshore team assessments and appraisals. •Assist in planing and conduct offshore operations according to the task objective. •Ensure, whenever possible, that the required equipment and staff arrive on-site in a timely manner prior to the start of operations. •Check reports: oReports of all accidents/incidents related to the safety of all personnel and/or equipment aboard the platform or ship. oDaily operating status report (daily log). oCoordination of equipment, tools and parts (received/postponed/transferred). oStatus of onboard equipment. oReport of all non-compliances. •Manage spares. •Obtain the required signatures for hours worked. •Check the quality control of operations. •Ensure that operational activities on board the rig or ship are conducted in a safe and professional manner according to the procedures and industry best practices. •Ensure that all crew members are familiar with HSE standards and follow specific safety procedures, regulations and requirements. •Make a positive contribution to the HSE environment on board the ship/rig. •Follow HSE regulations and good practices. •Intervene when discrepancies may exist and continue to work proactively to avoid unsafe conditions. QHSE •Have knowledge of individual QHSE responsibilities as required by company policy or by law. Act according to QHSE standards and encourage compliance among employees according to their level and competences. Maintain an active role in identifying opportunities to improve QHSE systems and, where appropriate, assist with the implementation of those improvements. Qualifications & personal attributes Qualifications •University degree (Licenciatura) in mechanical engineering, or industry relevant/specific courses and diploma’s. Work Experience Min 10+ years’ relevant offshore drilling and completion work experience. Professional Experience and Qualifications General and Multidisciplinary Skills •Fluent in Portuguese and English. •User-level IT skills. Specific Skills •Understanding of drilling and completion equipment and system. •Knowledge of customer-focused documentation. •Very good knowledge of machine maintenance. •Knowledge of oil and gas processing. •Extensive knowledge of the equipment used in oil and gas facilities.
