Sentinel has been committed to the senior market since 1948. Keeping premiums down helps us remain in business and ensures our customers stay satisfied. Therefore Sentinel has entered in to an agreement with USA Senior Care Network to reduce or eliminate the Medicare Part A deductible. Following is a brief description of the program. As you know, standardized Medicare Supplement plans, except Plan A (the basic or care plan), cover the Part A deductible, which is $1,184 in 2013. Sentinel would normally pay this deductible as an eligible benefit of the Medicare Supplement policy. With Sentinel’s Part A Deductible Waiver, the participating network hospital waives all or part ofthis deductible. Sentinel saves by not having to pay this deductible to the provider and passes along a portion of thatsavings to its policyholders. • Our Medicare Supplement customers can most certainly continue to see the doctors and providers of their choice. Also, we do not require insureds to go to any designated facility for their hospitalization needs, and their policy will still continue to pay all eligible expenses due under their policy. • Policyholders who choose to go to a participating hospital provider and incur a Part A deductiblewill receive a $100 premium credit that will be applied to their next premium payment. • The application of the Part A deductible waiver and the $100 premium credit will be processed when the claim has been submitted.
