Seriously people? Are you really that shocked about Russia? If you are maybe you should try paying more attention to other countries every now and then. Lets all keep in mind, Russia is not a first world country, stop expecting it to be absolutely perfect. And just because the government makes some seriously bad decisions, does not mean the country as a whole is bad. I know an awful lot of good Russians. They are a very kind and generous people, who happen to really like vodka. I truly enjoyed their company when I was living in Kyrgyzstan. You are mistaken if you think they, as a people, are happy with all thats been going on in their country in the last few days..and just because you dislike what their government has done with the olympics, doesnt mean you should boycott-- how about showing support for all the athletes who have trained so hard and did not choose the location for the games.
