Sermon: The seed Scriptures: Mathew 13:18-24[NKJV] 18 “Therefore hear the parable of the sower: 19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. 20 But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. 22 Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.23 But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” Reference scripture: Isaiah 55 verse 11[NKJV] So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. ……………………………………….. Jesus was followed by multitudes to the Lake but he noticed there was a problem with the people who led him to liken the word of God to a seed. Seed was thrown out but fell on different grounds and different results came out. When someone is preaching to you they are releasing a seed in your life, every word you receive is a seed to your life. Seed was thrown out and fell on different forms of ground and different results came out. When a seed is released it has to be in agreement with the soil in order to germinate. The first example Jesus gave is when seed falls on the ground and is eaten by birds. This can be likened to Christians today, when God releases a blessing many receive but quickly lose it to the devil. The seed is the same but what differs are the results. There are very small things that can alter that you would have received. For instance some have the audacity to be on social networks during church services. This automatically means that they are unable to hear and receive the word of God. When they do not receive any breakthrough they blame God when in actual fact they are the problem. In order for results to come the ground and seeds have to be in agreement. The devil is well aware of your life and knows when you are bound to breakthrough in your life and brings in little birds to take it away from you. Some Christians have eyes and ears but choose not to hear what God will be communicating to them. You should take time out to identify the birds in your life and do away with them for instance gossip, anger, unforgiveness among many others. Search your life! Other people receive their testimonies, healing and breakthrough within the same service as you but you dont, stop and ask yourself why. Be established in the kingdom of God and concentrate entirely on God not the birds. You came to God because you had problems but they never went away because you allowed birds to take away the seed of God from your life. Seek your deliverance and freedom from problems and ensure that you do not give the devil a chance. Some are able to resist temptations from the world but are unable to fight self temptations. The seed is unable to germinate in their lives due to bad character or sin. The seed that fell on good soil resembles those who receive the word and when it sprouts thorns hinder the growth. You have to know that to have a testimony you go through a test. Some people lament at problems and hence they lose out on the blessing of God. A slight push drives them away from God and the seed is choked to death. Everyone goes through temptations you are not the first. Temptations should draw you closer to God rather than pull you away from Him. Whenever a test comes to your life know for a fact that a testimony is coming your way, the bigger the test the bigger the testimony. The fourth example was on good soil in which seed germinates and grows well but the fruit vary from plant to plant. The seed is the same, the soil is the same and the conditions are the same but the results vary. A blessing of a car might be released but another receives a better car than the other. Everything that we see on the universe was created by a word. After creating the universe God created man in his own image and sent out Prophets to speak to His children on His behalf. If you prepare the soil to be for germination you will produce tremendous results. Whatever you require lies in the seed which is a word. When a seed is conducive planted it does not germinate there and then but it does not mean that it will not germinate. When a word is spoken to your life pronouncing healing or break through the results might not come instantly but it does not mean that it will not germinate. The lame man at the beautiful gate was healed through a word. The dark kingdom uses words to bring curses and problems to your life and God uses the same principle to bless you. You need a word that that supersedes the negative situations in your life. Glory be to God.
