Serving in Congress should a civil service job with the same Social Security & Medicare requirements as the rest of us. Congressional pay scale should be based on attendance, performance, and be accountable when they stumble, like the rest of us. Congressional pay raises should be based on production & profitability, like the rest of us (imagine declaring your own pay raise even after bad job performance or a scandal). Congress should have term limits, like the rest of us. Congress should have to pay into their own retirement accounts, so when their work is over, they earn like the rest of us. Its time to change the rules !!!
