Shabir Shah visited abducted woman of Zalingam Kokernag, Srinagar, Oct 7: The Freedom Party delegation led by its chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah today succeeded in reaching Zalingam, Kokernag. The delegation comprised of Chairman Islamic Political Party Muhammad Yusuf Naqash and Freedom Party’s central representative and activists from Islamabad area. The delegation sorted out information regarding the abduction of a woman during night whose body in critical condition was later on found in forests after thorough searches. The delegation assured the affected family that whole nation is with them in this hour of grief. The culprits of such heinous crime will be face utter disgrace. Shah Sahib expressed serious grief and anguish over the calamity the victim befell and said the tyrants will face serious doom. As soon as Shah Sahib left the house of victim, the people present there took Shah Sahib in the form of procession and followed him to gathering place where innumerous masses including women and children were waiting to welcome Shabir Ahmad Shah and raised pro-Islamic and pro-freedom slogans. He said the anger and resentment over the abduction by the people is a natural outcome but Police by arresting Ishaq Malik and Javed Ahmad Sheikh repeated the example of dishonesty and fraud. Expressing serious resentment over use of force by Police on peaceful protestors, Shah said what else can people do over such incident? Shah said Kashmiri nation is running freedom movement from several decades but today’s protest was against that barbarism which is severely condemnable. He said the woman was the mother of three children and her last child was just few days old. She was still a patient and was abducted. By protesting against such shameful act, government got frightened and resorted to use of force. Shah Sahib said that it is a major sin to tolerate oppression. We are not like those who bear oppression. He assured people that whenever oppression rises it ultimately vanishes and said the day is approaching when Kashmiris will get freedom. Shah Sahib also lauded the role of people for protesting against the dignity of a woman. Chairman Islamic Political Party Muhammad Yusuf Naqash also addressed the gathering.
