Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego are a great example of what it means to stand strong. An entire nation bowed in fear to the orders of a ruthless king who had an ego the size of…well the giant gold statue he had built to honor him. With everything to lose and nothing to gain, these three men refused to compromise their values and their faith. I love their reply to the furious king when they declare that their God can and will rescue them but even if He doesn’t we will not go against what we know is right. Today, will you stand strong and hold to your convictions or will you bow to the constant pressure to go the other direction. Rely on our God who is able to save!
