Shala nor myself made the video but this is a recap of the Weightlifting Camp that we were invited to in October. This video is being broadcast on the International Olympic Committees youtube channel which is pretty cool! There were a lot of very talented young athletes at the camp that I know will be achieving great things in the future. In the meet at the conclusion of the camp Shala McMillan, a native of the Palmetto/Parrish area, won her weight class while earning a spot on the Youth World Championship Team and breaking the American Record for total amount lifted. Shala is the most accomplished lifter on our team, however we have some very talented lifters that are working hard to reach her level.
