“Shall we plead for more at the open fount, which is pouring forth more than we accept?” This question is asked on the second page of the Christian Science textbook, in the chapter on Prayer. Mary Baker Eddy is challenging us to use prayer to accept Gods goodness which is already pouring out for us to benefit from. Instead of telling Him Hes not pouring out enough in our direction. “Ho hum, be grateful for what weve already got, then?” , you ask. No, thats not what it means – it means “start classifying yourself as the perfect idea of God, and then see what youve got.” Consider the phrases youd use to classify yourself now. How much of that is the outcome of fear, pride and aggressive mental influence? With your new classification, Look up and see those “fields white already to harvest” - a harvest of goodness you can realise in your life. More detail on this theme tomorrow.
