Shane Berry update. He is home, still no definitive diagnosis yet. They will know tomorrow if it is West Nile virus that has caused his encephalitis. His pain is much better, but he has much rest and several days of no outdoor activity in order to recover completely and those of you who know him know that will be a difficult row to hoe. If West Nile is ruled out, they will assume it was one of the tick fevers that caused his illness. One way or the other his treatment remains the same with bed rest, antibiotics and other needed meds until he feels like he can get around without continued headache and nausea. He had a rough trip home, still very sensitive to light and sound and very tired, he has lost weight but is glad to be home in his own bed. Keep him in your prayers, I will be praying for his complete and speedy recovery.
