Danger of apathy (laziness) and distraction (disturbance/entertainment) +Guard against developing an unhealthy love for this world (1 John 2:15-17). The risk of being lulled into a state of apathy or coldness by becoming complacent about the need to consistently mature in our relationship with Christ (Revelations 3:14-21). +We might become discouraged by the amount of time that has passed without His return and allow ourselves to drift away from a holy and godly lifestyle. (2 Peter 3:3-12) +Whatever the danger the truth is clear that Christ’s return must not surprise us. We must make sure we are watching and staying ready for His promised return (bring peace in our hearts). Vaega 3: O le mautinoa (Be Confident) Remember what the Bible teaches – GOD IS IN CONTROL!!! RESUME: False Messiah / Chief son of satan (Antichrist) Have a supernatural demonic power to know the unknown i) Daniel 8:23 – “…he will have a ‘fierce countenance, and understand dark sentences/sinister schemes’” – evil patterns. It will not be possible to keep anything a secret from him because of this satanic power. (tupu mata saua, na te iloa fo’i upu e faigata) ii) (v25) – “…cause craft (or deceit) to prosper (KJV) – ‘e manuia ia, fai fo’i lona loto’ The coming Antichrist will come to power at a time of international crisis. He will cause craft and deceit to prosper. No man will be able to buy or sell anything without having the mark of the beast on his right hand or forehead (Rev. 13:17). He will control the world’s economy with a revenge. (666) iii) Make a seven year peace treaty with Israel, which he will break at the end of 3 ½ years. When the antichrist begins to attack the Jewish people, they will flee to PETRA in Jordan where they will be supernaturally protected by God Himself from this monster. iv) Be a prideful powermonger. Given authority for 42 months (3 ½ years) – Revelations 13:5 This demonic world leader will create a one world government, one world currency and a one world religion. v) Oppose Jesus Christ Himself: He shall even rise against the Prince of princes (Daniel 8:25) – ‘e tula’i atu fo’i o ia i le Ali’i o ali’i; e olopalaina, a e le se lima e olopalaina ai.’ At the battle of Armageddon, this chief son of satan, this false messiah with enormous demonic power, will oppose Jesus Christ, however he will not be successful. He will be bound and cast into the bottomless pit by the Conqueror from Calvary.
