Shaykh Faraz Rabbani explains why the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cried, and why he was both constant in sorrow yet constantly cheerful. The Prophets crying was not like our crying. His sorry was not like our sorrow. It wasnt crying and sorrow out of dejection and feeling down. Rather, it was from deep concern for Allah--and awe of Allahs Greatness and Majesty--and from deep concern for Allahs creation, expressed in mercy, caring, and feeling others pain and loss.
