Shiloh Community Development, Incorporated (SCDI) invited candidates to the 11 AM worship service on Sunday, September 28, 214 at Shiloh Church and the Meet and Greet and candidates forum that immediately followed service. All candidates were extended an invitation to this historical event prior to the primary election in August - an attempt to avoid scheduling conflicts. Over 30 candidates attended worship service, including U.S. Senator Mark Begich, Governor Sean Parnell and candidates for Governor Bill Walker and his running mate Lt. Governor Byron Mallott. Unfortunately Governor Parnell wasnt able to participate in the candidate forum and had to leave immediately after the Meet and Greet. Candidate for U.S. Senate Dan Sullivan had a scheduling conflict and attended worship service the week prior. Thank you to all the candidates who took time to hear from Alaskas diverse community.
