"Shin Min Daily News published an article on 29 Sep revealing what former National Development Minister Mah Bow Tan said in an interview. During the interview, he denied that he stepped down from the Cabinet in 2011 to take the blame for the high HDB prices. However, on 19 May 2011 after PM Lee’s announcement of the new Cabinet, Mah also said that he was “accepting responsibility” of the high housing prices at a Building and Construction Authority (BCA) event."
