Shooting the moon with a basic camera - you might even be able - TopicsExpress

Shooting the moon with a basic camera - you might even be able to do this with your phone. We shared some of your pictures of the weekends ginormous full moon and all were super. The reaction to the lot was off the planet, but were putting this one up again because weve learned of the brilliantly simple way Nick Grice got around the limitations of a point-and-shoot camera in capturing a subject 3.63 million kilometres away. Nick had a telescope handy and lined up the lenses, turning his happy-snapper into a telephoto and warping space. Galileo would be totally stoked. You might have a telescope gathering dust in the shed, or you might get one from someone elses at a garage sale. Sounds like it might be fun. If you send us more moon shots we might make an album, but if more down-to-earth beauty will do for now, browse the latest additions to the WINTER. IS. STUNNING. album: on.fb.me/1nYS0rT
