Shop Technician - Warehouse (oakland west) BAY ALARM COMPANY SHOP TECHNICIAN Work for the Best! Bay Alarm Company, a highly respected statewide leader in the electronic security systems industry, has an opening in our Oakland branch for a Shop Technician. As a Shop technician, you will be responsible for managing branch inventory and equipment repair and return. Job duties include - receive, and stock all tools, alarm devices and other materials required by field and office personnel, process return of equipment to manufacturer for repair, process all equipment requisitions and provide kitted equipment for work orders 24 hours in advance of scheduled installation/service appointment. Maintain adequate stock levels,control the release of inventory, and conduct inventory surveys of shop and vehicle regularly. Process all incoming shipments daily, maintain all reports and logs required by the Shop, maintain the Shop in a neat and orderly fashion, all other miscellaneous responsibilities and other duties as assigned. 1-2 years shipping/receiving experience preferred. A High School diploma/ GED equivalent is required; valid Calif drivers license required, basic knowledge of construction and electrical wiring required, aptitude in the use of hand tools required.. Must have ability to pass background check (FBI & DOJ) for the State of California and a drug screen Proficiency with inventory/database programs preferred; good verbal and written communication skills required; good interpersonal skills required.
