#ShortStory “You okay?” He asked her. “I think I missed something.” She replied while taking out a delicious pizza from the oven. “How was today?” She added. “You know these seniors and bosses. I did miss something today.” “What?” He leaned towards her and kissed. “This, Maybe.” He winked at her. “You are never going to change.” She beamed at him. “Well, I need to go and change now. You ready for tonight?” He asked. “Hmmmm, yeah. Love you.” She replied. ***After an hour*** There were popcorn, pizza, wafers and pastry on table. They both sat on couch very close to each other under one blanket. “So, you ready?” “Yes, I am. Just like the old times.” She grinned. They both used to watch movies together in the nights. But this night was going to be different than other ones.Till this time he put his arm around her shoulder and she rested her head on his shoulder offering him popcorn. He switched on the button from remote. “Oh, look at you. Were you scared of this?” “No. I was not.” He said taking pizza bite. “Come on. You were. You were not ready for this, were you?” She tickled him. “Fine, I was a little bit. You were totally a new person with whom I had to spend rest of my life. I am happy I did not run away.” “You tried to?” She exclaimed with big question on her face. “Whenever I watch this, your face looks to me like the first time I saw you. Hey, you were saying you missed something today?” He tried to get off from the topic. But that marriage video didn’t let her. Some voice from room was audible in the hall suddenly. She put the blanket aside and rushed to the room. He followed her in same way. “She is never going to make it possible.” He said with a little perky voice looking at their 6 months old baby. “I don’t think so. Not tonight definitely.” She smirked at him. “I am hungry.” “Oh, Mr. Hungry. Why don’t you just eat food from the table? We will join you later.” She finished. “But you said you missed something.” He complained again. She smiled. He ate his dinner tuning the channel from TV. He came back to room less than 20 minutes. He kissed her on cheeks and kissed that little, cute baby of theirs. “Thank you.” He said. ~ Pooja
