Should I support David Graham for House of Delegates? Is that a question that youve asked? I feel like its an important question for everyone in southern WV. Do you know what my platform is? Education, Job Creation and Workforce Development. Have you heard me talk about the fact that Logan County is one of 21 WV counties that has been in persistent poverty for four decades? Do you know someone that works for Minimum Wage? Have you seen them struggle to pay their bills and still put food on the table? Do you know someone that retired from Arch Coal and has recently lost the benefits they worked for? Do you know someone that has been laid off work and was forced to sell off all of their belongings before they could finally qualify for assistance through a Public Assistance Program that was meant to help people? Have you heard about my proposal to eliminate the Asset Test for WV Families to prevent that from ever happening again? Do you know how much work teachers do compared to how much they get paid? Did you know that WV is ranked 48th in teacher pay? Do you know that many retired teachers struggle because theres no automatic Cost Of Living Adjustment in place? Just like Minimum Wage has fallen behind inflation to the point that our money can no longer buy all of our basic necessities. Did you know that WV has the potential to create a thriving agriculture industry? Do you know my plans to work for economic diversification and create new industries and jobs for our area? Growing up in southern WV, I know what it is like to struggle. If my wife and I moved out of West Virginia, we could significantly increase our income. We choose to stay here because we love this state and believe its worth fighting for. Please give me the opportunity to work to improve the quality of life for our people in southern West Virginia. This election means more than how many yard signs some politician has. Dont allow people driven by fear with hatred in their hearts to rob this area of the opportunity we have right now.
