Should we have a standard letter to send to MPs, or does each - TopicsExpress

Should we have a standard letter to send to MPs, or does each person just want to wing it? Heres one for Ian McKelvie, Rangitikei - does it look OK? Hello Ian, Congratulations on being returned as MP for Rangitikei. With all the accusations and revelations over the last few weeks, Im sure you will agree that more transparency is needed in our Government. In that vein, I ask that Parliament, and the public, be made aware of the terms of the TPPA that is being negotiated behind closed doors, and that it appears we will not even see until it has been signed. This is a gross infringement of our right to know what our Government is doing, and many of us fear what the TPPA may hold in store for us. Reports suggest that our sovereignty will be eroded, and that our laws may be drafted by outsiders to suit transnational corporations. This is, of course, unacceptable, and I ask that you bring the matter up with your Party, your Cabinet, and the House, in the interests of transparency and a fair deal for the people of New Zealand. Matters of this importance should be discussed by the whole Parliament, as the effects may be far-reaching, extending beyond the term of this current Government. I trust that you will carry out this duty to your electorate, and the people of New Zealand, with all haste, and all the means at your disposal. Kind regards, Matt Sweet Mangaweka.
