Show me the man you honor, and I will know what kind of man you are, for it shows me what your ideal of manhood is and what kind of man you long to be. That is why we should be very careful who we revere and admire. We are prone to marvel at men who are good at their sport or profession but whose personal lives demonstrate a lack of self-control and integrity. They crash and burn under the scrutiny of a voyeuristic culture. Choose instead those men who have the qualities that heaven admires: honesty, selflessness, humility, courage, generosity, servanthood and integrity. While those qualities may earn them few if any trophies here on earth, in heaven they will step to the front of the line, and so will you if you dare to follow their example.
