Show that nothing is more important to you than living right. Change your hearts and lives.Revelation 3:19 (ERV) At last month’s Winter Olympics, it wasn’t only the athletes who were hard at work. A network of local churches in Sochi, Russia organized a team of volunteers, trained by Bible League Russia, to be an evangelistic presence at the games. This opportunity for outreach was envisioned by local Christians in Sochi who experienced the personal evangelism campaigns during the London Olympics in the summer of 2012. Bible League volunteers involved in the evangelistic efforts provided 39,000 Easy-to-Read Russian New Testaments and 65,000 copies of The Life of Jesus to Olympic participants and visitors, along with sharing their personal testimonies about how Jesus Christ changed their lives. It was a church building effort unprecedented in that region of the world. These believers were united in their goal to change hearts and lives for Jesus. It’ll be exciting to see what new church planting movements are launched as a result. Pray for these outreaches, and commit yourself anew to living in such a way as to build your local church and witness to others.
