Showers with some thunder may just graze the far western Metro - TopicsExpress

Showers with some thunder may just graze the far western Metro around Lake Minnetonka and the northwest Metro ( Maple Grove/Elk River areas ) about 9 a.m. this morning but nothing Severe expected. The rest of the day will bring hazy sunshine, humid conditions and temperatures near 90 degrees this afternoon with dew point temperatures in the humid mid to upper 60s and winds from the South at 5 to 15 mph. Severe Thunderstorms with hail and damaging winds possible this afternoon and evening mainly in an area from just north of the Twin Cities to the Canadian border with the most likely areas for Severe weather along a line from Fargo to Brainerd to Duluth and points north. Red shaded areas on map indicate Severe weather risk area today. The greatest risk for thunderstorms in the Twin Cities will be from 11pm tonight through 7am Sunday then the rest of Sunday looks good but hot. Most of Monday dry with thunderstorms returning in the evening followed by a stormy day Tuesday and some of those storms may be Strong to Severe. Turns less humid on Wednesday. Jonathan Yuhas
