Shyamhari Chakra da, I know that it is actually really difficult in Indian culture to be extra-ordinary. I have observed it during my stay and I am sure that I know about it bit better than other foreigners there. Leading a not normal in India requires lots of courage. People expect their family and friends to lead whatever they call a happy life regardless of reality. They want you to pretend that you are happy when you are not. There is a silent pressure that you will not be different from others for the honor of the family, which I call ego. It is not a true love or care. Its just a restraint. But your friend succeeded in one thing. He helped and inspired YOU to be honest to your inner voice and act on it. You are an extra ordinary critique and art lover. You are always honest to yourself. You believe in yourself and follow whatever you think right, which in not easy in that society. People like talking about change, revolution, standing out or making dreams come true like Heros in Bollywood films. But they are only taking, and dont act on it actually! Very timid. They always raise family, society or culture as an excuse for not being able to change. You are probably the strongest person I have ever met there！ Without being honest to ourselves, we cannot be truly happy. Pretension of being happy is just a pretension. Nothing more. It cant satisfy our heart. It will just satisfy people around you who dont want you to change for their own good. Using ones full strength, talent and possibility of course requires you to CHANGE your behavior, environment and relationships. Only those who have real courage can do that and make dreams come true. But EVERYBODY can change only if they give a permission to him/herself. I am very lucky to be able to meet you years ago. If I didnt meet you, may be I am not dancing now. You kept encouraging me when I was really depressed. I am grateful to you.
