Signing off with this question: Do you believe in Hell --- the Christian Hell of eternal fire, agony, anguish and utter hopelessness? Im not asking if you believe we create Hell for ourselves on earth or anything like that, or about some vague Hell devised by the mind on the astral plane, or some modern liberal notion of separation from God. Im asking straight out: do you believe in the Christian Hell of raging fire and endless torment? If you do or dont, can you explain to me why? Thanks. I wish to God I had never been taught about Hell. I really do. I dont believe in it. But Im afraid of it, haunted by it, by cosmic terror --- what if the universe really is that horrible, that unsafe, that monstrous? Yet I dont actually believe in it for a minute or in a God who would inflict unspeakable and eternal agony on his human creation. Ill check back in the morning for your responses.
