Silence is betrayal. I and my friends who are Jews no longer fear being called anti-Semitic and pro-Hamas. Israel has forfeited all right to deference in language, politics, foreign aid, indeed, all right to respect. Netanyahu, the IDF, and the hilltop spectators deserve places in the 8th Bolgia. Their place in the UN, their embassies, their AIPAC network—all must be disbanded and held anathema. Israel is destroying itself. Its inherent ugliness is exposed and the world’s revulsion grows as scorn for anti-defamation, holocaust denial, anti-semitism, and AIPAC becomes an emotional tsunami sweeping over any restraint. No group on the planet can survive such resentment as Zionism has produced. And the entire Murdoch machine cannot stop it. If being a Jew requires supporting Israel, people the world over must abandon it. King Netanyahu cannot slaughter the innocents with impunity! If being an Israeli means hating and fearing all Jews who hold that many Muslims and Arabs are genuinely good and honorable people, then no one should be an Israeli. This is what I mean when I write that Israel has forfeited all right to deference. It is not Judaism, not Jews, who are the focus of our disapprobation. It is the horror Israel has become. Israelis have lost their faith, lost their moral code, lost their humanity.
