Our Lady of Guadalupe Church Silver Rose Protocol October 12, 2013 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Motorcade and Knights on Bikes meet at Knights of Columbus Hall at Sacred Heart Church. The address is 322 North Alameda, Corpus Christi, TX 78401. Breakfast will be available sponsored by Sacred Heart Council 2710. Social hour for all out of town guest. 10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Instructions and procedures for Knights on Bikes. Currently planning for 10 – 12 Bikers. 11:00 a.m. Last opportunity for restroom break. 11:15 a.m. Start engines, prepare to leave. Develop proper formation. 11:20 a.m. Leave knights of Columbus Hall toward Our Lady of Guadalupe. 11:30 a.m. Arrive at Church. Need 10 minutes to park all Bikes in formation. 11:40 a.m. Knights on Bikes dismount and stand at attention in front of each Bike facing the Church. All Color Corp Members standing at attention facing each other from the truck to the outside entrance of the church. 11:45 a.m. Truck rear door is opened. Silver Rose is removed from truck by Corpus Christi District Marshal (CCDM). CCDM carries it to the inside foyer of church with two escorts. Upon the Silver Rose reaching the inside, The Color Corp turns and marches inside the church to man the aisles for a normal Church entrance procession. Once they are set up, 11:50 a.m. Knights on Bikes start procession into church. Forming two columns from front of truck and rear of truck toward the inside of the church. Followed by Silver Rose, two Honor Guard Escorts, Current Navigators, and Master. Silver Rose is carried toward front of Altar with two Honor Guard Escorts. Knights on Bikes seat in Front of Church first pew on each side. 12:00 p.m. Mass starts. Color Corp stays in position to wait the entrance of Fr. James. Color Corp Routine shall be the normal procedure. They will seat down the aisles. Go to Communion together and wait in the rear for their return to their pews after communion. 12:45 p.m. Mass ends, Recession Procedures. Color Corp mans the aisles from their current seat to the outside of the truck. Knights on Bikes are the first to leave the church down the middle. Silver Rose is recovered by CCDM from the Altar with Escorts and carried back to truck, followed by Current Navigators, Master and Fr. James. 12:50 p.m. CCDM stops in front of truck makes about face. Knights on Bikes line up in front of their Bikes. Color Corp will stand behind the Silver Rose. All facing Fr. James. Once everyone is in place, Fr. James gives everyone a Final Blessing. 1:00 p.m. Bikers all mount their Bikes at the same time. Wait for Master to signal the Start of all engines. Travel Captain leads the way. All leave Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Head toward the Valley. 3:00 p.m. Arrive in Raymondville. Gas up, restrooms quickly. 3:30 p.m. Mandatory time departure from Raymondville. 4:30 p.m. Arrive at the San Juan Basilica. 4:45 p.m. Open truck tail gate. Start procession to the Church stairs. 5:00 p.m. CCDM turns over Silver Rose to Fr. Amador at the top of the stairs 5:15 p.m. CCDM takes the Rose to the altar. 5:30 p.m. Mass starts at the Basilica De San Juan. 6:30 p.m. Mass Ends 6:35 p.m. Silver Rose is transferred to the rear of the church. 6:50 p.m. Set-up outside of church. 7:00 p.m. Start Fire Pit Ceremony 8:00 p.m. End of Ceremony. 8:30 p.m. Return to Corpus Christi. Truck in front, bikes in rear to avoid deer hitting Bikers.
