Silverwings Horse Rescue located in Eastern Sanger, CA, about 30 miles from Fresno. This is a horse rescue for abused, abandoned and owner relinquished horses. When they arrive the horse is evaluated and assessed for its needs. A farrier and the vet is called if needed for further services. Horse is then evaluated for rideability to determine the type of rider that would be best suited for the horse. The horse is corralled for a period of time for further evaluation before turned out with other horses. All horses either go to new home or are kept to live out their lives. Silverwings operates on your donations and support. Your volunteering to socialize these horses is a big part of their rehabilitation. So if your money is tight, we understand, but your time is priceless. There is not paid staff all are volunteers. Everyone is welcome. Open to visitors Tuesdays to Sundays. Call ahead 787-8867
