SimIS is looking for candidates for a Technical Lead/Senior Scientist position supporting the DoD Modeling & Simulation Coordination Office in the Arlington area. Essential Functions: Lead the technical SME’s in obtaining and analyzing data as input into major management decisions involving all relevant modeling and simulation technical and application areas- Produce, review and quality assure analyses, technical assessments, research and other studies of modeling, simulation and related activities. Provide technology assessments, plan development and SME support in the modeling and related technical areas. Support MSTO in the conceptualization, drafting and coordination of technical, business & strategic plans, and documents. Provide expertise in the technology, use, and management of models, simulations, software, or modeling and simulation environments. Lead the MSCO technical team in identifying new modeling and simulation technology, techniques, methodology, software, and supporting technology and environments. Provide expertise in the development, use or transformation of data leading to accurate and effective modeling and simulation. Develop, and integrate strategies for managing and simulation modeling data in all DoD functional areas. Act as a senior modeling and related military technology SME and resource. Advise and support the MSTO leadership on the formulation and coordination of modeling policies, standards, and activities to implement the USD (AT&L) chartered responsibilities for enabling DoD M&S. Required Education and Experience: Minimum 15+ years of experience in the technical discipline of Modeling and Simulation. PHD required, in an engineering discipline. Demonstrated DoD/Industry leadership in the M&S technical field desired. Must demonstrate experience in planning, briefing and coordinating senior-level technical reviews, panels, or similar meetings with diverse participates.
