Simile Writing and Portraits for our Calendars For our calendars, W.A.L.To draw faces – trying to make our features look true to life. We had lessons to practise drawing the shape of our eyes, nose and mouth and looked carefully at how our hair sits around our face and not just on top of our head! We took time and care to work on our wonderful calendars. Now these portraits go so well with our special Simile Writing. We have been learning to use words in a different way to describe the way we look and the things we can do. Enjoy our writing and look and see the great job we did with our portraits. My hair is as gold as the moon. My eyes are as blue as the ocean and my skin is as white as paper. I have freckles like a cheetah’s spots and I am as strong as a wrestler. I am as fast as a cheetah.
