Sin consciousness will always cause guilt. This kind of consciousness causes one to believe that he/she must do something for God, in order to be accepted by Him, Or to receive from Him. This is the very essence of man-made or other world religions. Its rooted in pride. In the Bible, Abraham, originally being from Ur of the Chaldees (or Babylon), had this same belief. However he was permitted by The Lord to pay tithes unto to Melchizedek, priest of the most High God, (and invited to the Covenant meal, of bread and wine, as an act of faith, causing the blessing of the Lord (Gen. 14;Proverbs 10:22) to return unto mankind, in which Adam had given away to satan. This is known as the Abrahamic Covenant. For by faith in God, apart from the worlds system, mankind could prosper Gods way, once again, giving and receiving from the Lord, Partnering with Him under an open heaven. Although all of the promises of that Covenant as they have been recorded in the Law, the Prophets and the Psalms, are still in affect, We are now under a better Covenant. The Blood Covenant of the grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In this Perfect sacrifice and Covenant, sin consciousness does not exist! (Hebrews 8:12) Jesus paid it once and for all, with His precious Blood! Ask, and you shall receive; The Kingdom is yours and mine, as children of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (Matthew 7)
