Since I have started my career as a Financial Advisor, I have - TopicsExpress

Since I have started my career as a Financial Advisor, I have found out that there are certain stigmas that have been associated with my new job role. I’m sure there a few reasons for the generalities that have been accumulated over time, however these generalities leave out the fine details of how working with a Financial Advisor that you can trust, can really help you now and with your future financial goals. So I decided to outline what you can expect from working with me a Financial Advisor. First there is no sales pressure. If you’re asking yourself how that is possible when most advisors in the industry are paid by commission based on sales, the answer is this. As an advisor I have a systematic process to help you determine your financial needs. The process looks like this. 1. Free consultation. I sit down with you to go over your current details. I ask for at least 30 minutes of your time to talk about your current finances, and your future financial goals. I want to know your dreams, your life ambitions, and what you have in place to achieve these. Afterwards I will share my knowledge and skills and offer you practical advice of what may need to be put in place to help you achieve your goals. If you see value in what I suggest, we will schedule another meeting. 2. After our first meeting, I take the information we talked about and run it through a number of scenarios. Using Sun Life’s top industry standard tools, I build a financial plan that will address your financial goals. When we meet again I present to you the plan and concepts that can be put in place to achieve everything we have discussed. This plan will not only help your money grow, but protect it as it grows, so when life throws you a curve ball you are ready for it. As before there is no fee for this meeting, and there is no obligation to move forward unless you see value in what I propose. As your Advisor, you can trust that I will do what is best for you. Trust is the foundation of my business practice, and without it, my business will not grow. My plans are built around your goals and your budget, and I will never put my own objectives ahead of my clients. In this business, my words, and my actions are my reputation, and to hinder that in any way would only be foolish. As your Advisor, I will become privy to certain information. All information shared with me is strictly confidential. As your Advisor, it is my responsibility to ensure that your concerns are addressed. In doing so I follow a pyramid of financial planning. I know some of you read pyramid and immediately pyramid scheme comes to mind. I want to ensure you that there is no scheme, just a practical view of how successful financial plans are built. If you are still skeptical I urge you to do a Google search. You will find that this a fundamental practice of financial planning with many companies, and the reason for this is because it works. To see what the pyramid looks like, you can find it as a saved photo on my page. The pyramid works like this. A lot of times, we come become overly concerned about saving for things like education, a house, or retirement as examples. Although this is an important part of a financial plan, if we fail to protect our savings when uncontrollable events happen. We more often than not dip into our education, house, or retirement funds. So your savings aren’t being used for what you want them to, and you may have to start saving over again, sometimes from the beginning. If you were to add a layer of protection for your savings to stand on, when those uncontrollable events happen, your savings can stay where they are, because you are protected. This is a brief synopsis of the pyramid, and as always if you do have questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I hope you found this informative, and I hope it cleared up any reservations you may have had about working with a Financial Advisor. My advice to you, is if you don’t work with one, it is in your advantage to do so. If you do decide to work with a Financial Advisor, make sure you feel like you can trust them. Don’t be afraid to ask about their processes, your interests should be number one. Again if you have any questions, I am always available to help. You can find my contact information on the about tab, and I will get back to you within 24 hours. Cheers Brandon Fellinger
