Since I turned 30 recently, here I want to share 30 interesting facts abt me on this 30th day of the month .. 1. I am a left hander. 2. When I was very small, I fell inside a well and was brought up by pulling my hair. The moment I reached steps, I made sure my earrings are intact. Another time I was washed away in beach in front of my parents who didnt know I was gone. My athai mama sitting in the shore came and saved me. 3. Primary school was pure christian school , higher secondary was hindu school and college was muslim minority college. 4. When I was in auxillium in 4th std and 5th std, I used to take pedal sisters(nuns) from primary school to auxillium college, approx 1km. My favorite akka who studied in college saw me and told my parents. Since I denied taking them in cycles anymore, I was denied admission for 6th std in same school. 5. After 6th, only co-ed. Athu oru kanakaalam. Myself and another girl accompanied one girl in writing a love letter to a guy who was 4 years younger to her. Me or my friend didnt know what the lover girl wrote in that. We were asked to write only 3 lines. I too liked that guy but I was forced to address him as brother. :( 6. Had my first crush in class 7, without actually seeing the guy. 5 years later he was my classmate, but it took 4 months to realize he was my first crush. From that day onwards I collected whatever was touched by him and reserved it in a diary. First time he spoke to me, when I went to buy bajji So I preserved a bajji and after few days, because of bad smell from my diary, my diary was read and destroyed from my mom. 7. When I was in 7th standard, went to delhi to participate in a cultural performance in front of prime minister. I went without my parents joining me with few known people and group of 167 artists. I was youngest in the group. During 10 days of rehearsals Instructions would be given in english and one representative from each state would translate. Since tamilnadu translator was sick, I stood in front of 2000 people from all state and after giving my first translation got heavy claps from everyone. I was a favorite to everyone and even learnt mizoram dance. But a two days performance, I fell down from the sleeping bunk and had my forehead injured and had severe blood loss. When i gained conciousness i cried that my dream was disturbed. it bulged very big. I couldnt wear my glasses so I couldnt see anything clearly. Only after returning from delhi I saw myself in mirror and screamed as hell. 8. I was bit by a dog, monkey and scorpio (thel). I irritated the caged monkey and later held the grill of cage without realizing my fingers crossed the grill.. monkey instantly had a tasty bite. In turn I have bit my brother very hard that he had to take injection, also took a sharp stone and planted it on my playmate aruns head. 9. When I was in 11th std, I was caught copying but that mam did not make it big. Afterwards never copied in my life. In college I never copied even during open book test. 10. Three friends together went to chemistry sir house, threatened him to leak question paper for half yearly exam during 12th std. 11.In high school I was very very average student due to lot of inferiority complex. When I joined college and seeked my blessings From my father, my brother told I will shine in college life. I was college topper in first semester and instantly became famous in college, for other reasons too. 12. In college I had liberty to take reference books to home as well. In four years I rarely used local author books. Always used actual reference books. Once I slept while writing exam and since i am attendar annas favorite sister, he would keep a tea in my desk while giving one to invigilators. I had an arrear in 4th sem for which I called my best buddy lavanya and cried. she too cried for me although she had 3 arrears in same sem and didnt cry for herself. I had applied for revaluation and cleared the paper and became class topper that same sem. 13. I have a collegemate who calls me mom. It all began to tease a particular lady staff by forming a fake family but even after 9 years we still address as mom and son. He is the one who tortures me the most. My most trustworthy person. 14. Went to world social forum held in mumbai alone for experience. Attended a child labour session by chance and from there decided to do something for children. Also accompanied 14 kids as teacher during my college final year to all india kids carnival. 15. I was first placed in tata infotech. In between because I wanted to come chennai, I used Infosys off-campus as a reason. One week before that my very good friend poo and myself solved george summers together and so unexpectedly I cleared Infosys written test and had interview next day. But I didnt bring any extra dress for next day and originally planned to return same day. Since I became close to all placed in tata infotech I didnt want to attend interview. However just for experience I went for the interview with old dress itself. I was in phone with my dad and told I will not perform interview well. I will only go to tata infotech. But 5 mins later when I reached shols campus, I was awestruck and called my dad again and told if I join a company it will be infosys only. 16. I was originally posted in trivandrum infosys after training. However since few posted in chennai did not clear their training exam I was re-posted to chennai. 17. Few months after joining infosys, I associated myself with pankhudi through orkut and became its core member. I was heading chennai unit and took care of 5 projects and associated 50+ volunteers. 18.In infy for 5 years I worked in same project, same team and would have given kt for same application to 50 or more different people. 19. Changed 4 companies so far but never had an offer in hand before putting paper. Survived infosys 5.5 years, cts 2.5 years and xchanging for 2 months. Igate so far one year completed successfully 20. My best lunch gang was in infosys and cts to a certain extent. After that lost interest in having lunch with others. I have lunch by myself. 21. Went to dallas, usa twice through infosys. Had best days in my life there which completely made me more confident 22. I received catalyst for social change, a prestigious award from women network at infosys selecting people who made remarkable achievement im social field. 23.. I resembled sridevi (riksha mama fame) @ lot during early years. Now many think I am super 10 aarthi. 24. I first saw meens on feb 12, 2011 and two days later both side agreed on feb 14, 2011. 25. I first initiated to talk to meens and secretly took his number from my dad cellphone. But unfortunately it was some other meenakshi sundaram giving first bulb in my married life. Had to bribe my nokia phone to my brother to get his actual number. 26. Many people who met us think it is a love marriage, even some of them think it was arranged to be arranged marriage. There was a family pattern that second son in each of his maternal family fell in love and so meens broke that rule. 27. In school, I was first involved in dance program, because of my excellent performance I was denied to participate any further. So I never danced afterwards. In infosys training period, there was a dj program in an open ground and out of 800 ppl I was the only one who didnt dance. However changed that after I danced with few friends at diwali party at dallas. 28. I am an ardent korean drama / movie buff. My most favorite wish is to go to seoul. I even had few friends from korea. 29. I love food, obviously. I have tasted chinese, japanese, vietnamese, italian, mexican, malaysian, american and indian food. I am a very big foodie. I love cooking but for safety of meens I rarely cook. 30. I was an active blogger. My pen name was kelvizhi a combination of question and awareness. Incidentally my brother pen name is vizhiyan. I also had a secret, completely anonymous blog to write about troubles faced by women. no one knows about this anonymous blog. Hope you liked this. Share your views about me as well.
