Since it is TBT, this post is even more appropriate! 28 years ago today at exactly 5:06 PM on Thursday, Dec 11, 1986, God granted me the most precious gift of my beautiful baby boy..Shane McDade! Even though he was late (I was due on the 3rd), God gave me my forever Christmas gift two weeks early! Shane McDade you are always and forever in my heart no matter how far apart we are! You have brought so much love, laughter and pride in my life! You are a beautiful man inside and out! I cannot ever explain to you just how much youre loved and wished Gods blessings and joy each and every day of your life! Nanny was the first to hold you when you were born! You were actually the first baby she ever had the opportunity to be seen while being born, even though she gave birth herself six times (all girls aaaahhh). Then I finally got to hold you! Then Pop-Pop, Aunt Nancy McDade Billard, Uncle Frank Billard and Cousin Eric Koelker were on hand! Pop-Pop held you when you were less than an hour old! I know we both miss Nanny & Pop-Pop so much! Never ever forget how much you were loved by them and how proud they were of you and Im certain theyre watching down and they still are experiencing the same feelings from Heaven! I am so looking forward to December 23rd when you will be home for a week! I cannot wait to LAUGH with you! Your sense of humor and comic timing are what I miss most about you! I love how you imitate Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler and Will Farrell! Looking forward to watching CHRISTMAS VACATION with your for the umpteenth time as well as THE CHRISTMAS STORY! Oh and BAD SANTA! My one regret is that I didnt appreciate and enjoy being your momma when you were little as much as I should have. Theres a little boy in church who resembles you when you were small. Sometimes I start to cry just looking at him missing my little boy! Please know Ive honestly tried to be the very best mom! I would give you the world if I could and Id give you my life if necessary! Im so thankful you have Aubrey Miller in your life and you have made lasting friendships in MB! I am looking forward to meeting her over the Christmas holiday! Again, I hope you have an absolutely awesome birthday! Ill bake you a funfetti cake when youre home! And of course, well go to M&M Bake Shop!! Tight hugs to you.
