Since our 50th Reunion is fast approaching being only a few days away, I thought some of you might enjoy this. These photos are from a book entitled ALONG THE BAY, A Pictorial History of Bay County by Marlene Womack published in 1994. On page 173, the aerai view of Bay High taken in 1962 while we were there is shown. The original arched entry main building is in the right foreground, the then new science wing is in the left foreground, the quarter-round building in the middle-left is the cafeteria, and the Tommy Oliver Stadium is in the upper-left background. The second photo on page 177 is one we have seen often of late, but the significance to me is the text to the right of the photo with the poem written by Fran Davis Dean about one of her Bay High reunions which, I believe, is relavant to our reunion: Turn backward, turn backward, oh time in your flight, Make us all seniors again just for tonight, When we all had our hair and had not lost a tooth, When some of us wore a different size and we didnt need glasses for our eyes, Oh Minerva, come back from your far away shore, And wisk us back to Bay High just once more. :-}
