Since some friends are curious about how I painted the stripes all by myself, Id like to share the simple steps with u my friends! ^^ First of all, you need to be confident of yourself (even though u r a tyro~). A band of stripes is an easy do-it-yourself project that adds a personal touch to your room. Youll find it worthwhile to spend your time and strength on the project. Take a look at these simple steps to get the look you want: 1. Mark the area to be painted with removable painters tape. You can buy all the painting tools in B&Q. 2. Paint this section the base color of the band (the thinner stripes are actually the width of the tape, and the width depends on what kind of tape you bought). 3. Once dry, use different widths of painters tape to mask off the other sections. Youll need to do this in stages because you cannot mask all the stripes off without blocking some areas with the tape. 4. Do not soak in too much paint when brushing the edges of the tape to keep the paint from bleeding under the tape and ruining the stripes. 5. Paint the stripe, slightly overlapping the tape; let dry. Repeat until all the stripes have been painted. 6. Carefully remove the tape. If the tape starts to pull up the paint, use a hair dryer to slightly warm the adhesive as you carefully remove the tape. Now, enjoy your own creation, I promise youll gain a sense achievement youve never had before!
