Since starting People Passionate, Ive gotten a lot of questions - TopicsExpress

Since starting People Passionate, Ive gotten a lot of questions about how to be more productive with ones time. Im still capable of being a lazy sloth on occasion, but Ive picked up on a number of useful productivity tips that have changed my life over the last year. Heres one Ive found particularly transformative: Stop rushing. My days used to start off in a panic. Id bolt up from bed, jump in the shower, throw on some clothes, *maybe* grab something from the pantry that half-way qualified as breakfast, and zoom out the door on the way to work. This wasnt specific to just my morning routine either. It applied to everything, and I was always late. Meeting at 4 oclock? BETTER LEAVE MY HOUSE AT 3:55! Dinners at 6? SEE YOU AT 6:11! Somewhere along the line I decided I was fed up with this constant sense of urgency. It was stressful, anxiety-provoking, and on top of it all, rushing around was obviously not saving me any time. Once I decided to start getting up early, magical things started happening. Suddenly, I had time to enjoy breakfast, write blog posts, and plan out my day. This made a tremendous difference in not only getting things done efficiently, it gave me peace of mind, something I wasnt getting when I was constantly rushing. So what are the results since Ive started giving myself more time? Ive more than doubled visitor traffic on my blog due to posting more frequently, established a consistent morning workout routine, started two businesses, and still have time to lay in bed and watch Netflix with Rachel on the weekends. Bottom line: Be conscientious of your time. For many, its the hours between 5 to 9 that count the most. Dont waste them.
