Since yesterday was bosss day, its the perfect time to Spotlight Martha Barwick, Coordinator of Instructional Technology. Several years ago, she was promoted to this leadership position in the Office of Technology. Her vision has transformed the way Hcps thinks about technology for new century learning. Shes coined the word affordances as we consider ways technology can improve upon best practices; inspired Digital Harford (and manages this fb group); spearheaded the move toward an online management system (ItsLearning) which will transform teaching and learning to fit new digital norms; endorsed amazing interactive tools like ClassFlow that give instruction depth and students choice and voice...and on top of all of these endeavors, she is completing an EdD program through Johns Hopkins. She expects and gives only the best for Hcps. The tech teacher specialist team is excited about the future, the awesome changes on the rise, and continued partnerships and PD with schools--all to be realized because of Marthas leadership!
