Tonight please tune in to WoodyRadio Midnight - 3am eastern, the GuardianDemon Show will be paying tribute Chris Brower. Chris passed away yesterday after fighting like Rocky Balboa against liver cancer and that cancer taking this music man away from us all. Chris was one of my oldest friends and this track is something I am so glad to have done with him. We were both huge fans of the film Phantom of the Paradise, and when I pitched the idea of doing a medley he jumped at the chance to be on the track doing bass. When the singer backed out who was supposed to sing on the track he said he wanted to try. I brought the studio to a Double Tree hotel in Tarrytown, NY and we began with the bass tracks. When it came time to sing we talked over what style to do, we came up with this Tom Waits rip off because we did not want to wake up the whole hotel. Another singer for AgnezMoorhead, Bryan Dover, had said when he heard the track he could envision us in some shady area with just a street light to work off of, but in reality we were enjoying a nice hotel room and the warm cookies they give you when you check in. That was a huge compliment, and having Chris on this track was one of my musical highlights. We also chopped the song down to end with the very fitting line "Old souls last forever, so we need never fear a goodbye". -Ickes youtube/watch?v=6wogEtF-UT4&feature=youtu.be
