Sitting at the traffic light- and theres a homeless old guy asking for change. Its 62 degrees out n raining. Gave him a snack bar and some singles. The lady in the car next me yells- you cant encourage them! I yelled back- its okay! Im his doctor. And drove away... Seriously tho - how much does a person have to suffer before the lesson becomes less important than the person? Anyone in the medical field will tell you- in sickness there is no sinner / saint/ right /wrong/ undeserving. There is a disease and (hopefully) several solutions as to how to improve health. Lack of compassion / empathy/ common sense has never been one of those solutions. End rant.
