Sitting in my hotel room in LA following the Pacific Rim screening in Burbank. I got to see the film in IMAX 3D and it was so coooool. The IMAX 3D is the preferred format...the scale of the mechs and monsters are done justice and the imax sound system adds to the sense of enormity. With each robot vs monster punch, the stadium shakes you to your bones. Get ready to rock and roll. The movie is pure fun, with enough story and character to make you care, but make no mistake about it, the monsters and mechs are the real stars of this film. There is visual brilliance all over the screen - ILM and director Guillermo Del Toro should take a bow. Get out to see this movie this weekend - it is a summer action blockbuster in its truest form - original, spectacular and fun. I loved it and cant wait to see it again.
