Six years ago today I married a man who would become my best friend. I refused to have a wedding, so we went to city hall. It was pouring rain. It was 9/11, which I realized that morning, but we had already made babysitter arrangements, so we did it anyway! Along the way there have been ups and downs, dreams come true, and many memories made. We blended together two families from worlds apart, and I love his family like my own. We have grown together as parents, individuals, and as a team. I owe so much to this man who has helped me realize dreams I never knew I had, and has shown me what true love is made of.
