Sixth Annual General Meeting of Surveyor’s Society of Kavre Celebrated 27 Sep 2014 (11 Asoj 2071), Banepa: The sixth annual general meeting of Surveyor’s Society of Kavre has been commemorated here at Banepa Polytechnic Institute. The society which was formally established on Ashad 18, 2066 with the vision of creating a mutual relationship and enhancing the fraternity among survey professionals has successfully built itself as one of the most dynamic organizations in the field of survey in Nepal. The program was conducted in the chairmanship of Mr Tanka Prashad Dahal, incumbent President of the society. Mr. Magnu Dutta, Office Chief at Kavre Survey Office was invited as the chief guest of the program. In the occasion, Mr. Sanjaya Mandhar, secretary of the society presented the annual progress report while Mr Bijubhakta Shrestha, treasurer of the society presented the annual financial report of the society. Chief guest Dutta addressed the audience highlighting the importance of informing the people regarding the technological changes that the field of survey has undergone. He also emphasized the principle of repeatability in land measurement. Chairman of the program and president of the society Mr. Tanka Dahal spoke on the importance of not only creating a cordial relationship between different generations of survey but merging the barriers of generation and altogether erasing the concept of different generation. In addition, survey professionals who recently joined the civil servants profession as Survey Officers and Surveyors were also honoured. The closed session of the annual general meeting unanimously passed the annual progress report along with annual financial report.
