Skill Development & Oly Lifting Classes Beginning the week of 5/5, we are going to make a few changes to the weekly classes – I hope that all of you view the changes as positive and I hope you take advantage of them. Skill Development – Tuesdays at 6:30 pm An hour long class dedicated to skill development. Each class will focus on a specific skill, but you will also have the option of using the majority of the hour to practice a progression of the skill of your choice. We may end the class with an EMOM or mini WOD designed to help build stamina when performing the selected skill. The Skill Development classes are open to all athletes of all abilities. Olympic Lifting – Thursdays at 6:30 pm An hour long class dedicated to the Olympic Lifts. Some days we may just lift while others we’ll focus on developing one of the pulls utilizing a variety of assistance exercises. The Olympic Lifting classes are limited to athletes that have demonstrated a fair amount of proficiency in the Olympic Lifts. For those athletes that have not yet met the criteria (hint: it has far less to do with how much you lift and is more about how well you move), we will still work on Oly technique during regular CrossFit classes and we will periodically offer Olympic Lifting seminars designed to help move beginning athletes along. Oly Classes are capped at 8. (Yes, this means no regular CrossFit 6:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.)
