SkyScraping! Planets in Proximity ~ 18 Sept 2014 Why is there so much rain? In the United States the geographic corners of the United States seem to be taking their turns getting hammered by storms. Other regions of the world are also feeling the effects of out of norm weather as well. This past week many regions of Pakistan received more than its fair share of precipitation. Thinking back over the last several months, it’s difficult to remember a news broadcast without some story of flooding somewhere in the world... or wild fires. What’s up with this? In the past few days Neptune, as seen from the Sun-centered heliocentric view, made an exact conjunction to the perihelion (the closest point to the Sun in an orbital cycle, nearest proximity) of Mars. Back in the late 1940s the reluctant patron saint of astrology, John Nelson, worked for RCA atop a skyscraper in New York striving to decode why short wave radio transmissions were interrupted when they were. Long story short (but it makes for some fascinating research), the hiccups in short wave radio signals correlated with heliocentric transits of planets to the nodes and perihelion points of the planets. Any planet in transit to its own or any other planet’s orbital elements. The aspects reported were conjunction, first-quarter square, opposition and third-quarter square. These aspects seemed to be effect within the range of a generous orb, sometimes up to ten degrees. Nelson’s research was phenomenal. In an act of scientific research, he proved aspects of astrology for all the world to see. Of particular note, the perihelion of Mars (6 Pisces 17 as of September 1st) stood out as the most volatile perihelion point. Transits to the perihelion of Mars typically signaled times in which unprecedented solar storms came out of nowhere - meaning that regardless where the Sun is in the greater solar activity cycle - it acts up. Lately we’ve seen some amazing solar blasts, and a day or so later the highly charged energy hits Earth. Often following solar blasts are anomalous weather patterns, commonly those that spawn deluges. The faster-moving planets tend to bring outburst blips and short term weather anomalies. Slower-moving planets bring longer intervals of solar activity and far-reaching abnormalities in established weather patterns. Neptune to the perihelion of Mars was exact this week. The reasonable orb of Neptune to this Martian point has been in orb for the past nine months at least, perhaps even as long as 15 months. Now just past partile, we can expect another nine to 15 months of intensified solar activity and strange weather according to heliocentric transit forecasts. Mars correlates with the element of fire. Could this heliocentric transit possibly refer to the unprecedented wild fires in the past two summer seasons? Perhaps, though that speculation lacks supporting research and is purely conjecture. One might ask how this collective, long-term transit impacts individuals. The fire in the belly (Mars) requires constant supervision during the creative watershed effect of Neptune to this sensitive Piscean point. Neptune can manifest in totally unbound artistry, unlimited imagination and talent unleashed. Neptune can also represent psychic angst, paranoia and insecurity. The gist is simple: Establish a clean break - a breakwater or a firewall - between your talent and greatest aspirations and the downside reactions of worry, fear, timidity, fretfulness and paranoia. It is true that one striving for massive successes in life fails more than one succeeds. With a professional hitter in baseball, a great batsman fails more that two-thirds of the time. Screenwriters pitching screenplays succeed less than 3 per cent of the time. But it goes back to the slogan of many lottery sales organizations: You can’t win if you don’t play. So, drop any negative attitudes and sour grapes and get your dog in the race. As for Neptune to the perihelion of Mars, eliminate your jealousy of those succeeding. Process and release the anger that sets in when being rebuffed. Use the energy of a setback to motivate acts of unrelenting creative expression. Since Neptune, modern ruler of Pisces, and the sign of Pisces are involved here, play by the rules of the game. No wandering all about with no sense of the road. While inching forward, know and be respectful of protocols. Rule breakers and those who barge in with Martian ferocity will be rebuffed and not given a second’s worth of receptive audience. Come October 12th, the heliocentric position of Uranus aligns with the perihelion of Jupiter (14 Aries 30). This could be a mind-changing, philosophy-bending, concept-adjusting, consciousness-tweaking time frame. But here’s the deal: There are rumors that Jupiter is pretty convinced he’s right in all matters. Uranus can be a cranky bastard even when trying to be nice. So, if you want to get the best results, do your innovative thing and glean success without imposing your beliefs or plan of action onto the status quo. Lead by innovative example. When Jupiter strolls over, acting all casual, and commenting that the way you’re making progress is interesting, you’ve made a dent in collective consciousness. Innovate on your turf. Make hay in your own yard. Forget about seeking followers. There’s another rumor that followers find leaders. So if you’re blazing a new path of progress in your own way, by yourself, and for the benefit of you and you along (maybe your brood, too) and should others fall in line, that’s very cool. Then take the time show them how to do what you’ve done, and how to invoke the attitudes and mindsets that are required for success. Transits are in play with other planets’ contact at their nearest proximity to the Sun. At this pivotal orbital point, the planet receives solar energy through the shortest physical distance. Per the laws of physics, the solar energy and all it represents is the strongest of the orbital cycle. As well, a planet at perihelion speeds through its orbit with the greatest velocity of the revolution. A state of swiftness (symbolic urgency) coincides with the intensification of the energy. For the next months with Neptune to the perihelion of Mars, creative flow reaches the high water mark. And for the next months with Uranus to the perihelion of Jupiter, innovative thought, brainstorms and progressive insights occur with abnormal regularity. Move into proximity, with harness in hand and saddle up. Should you want an insight or to as to how to best harness these profound heliocentric patterns, perhaps a consultation is in order. It’s a given the Galactic Report and the Galactic Trilogy CD will fertilize seeds cast. If you’re in a creative partnership, the Twin Stars Report isn’t just for romantic soul mates. More soon.
